A Chemical Peel is an effective treatment option for a variety of skin issues: reducing fine lines, wrinkles, mild scarring, age spots, sun damage, blemishes, or improving overall skin appearance. Generally, there are three types of chemical peels, ranging from Light, Medium to Deep. The strength of chemical used depends on the desired outcome and the condition that is treated.

All peels work by removing a layer of sun damaged skin. Superficial or “light” peels remove only the top layer, mostly the layer of dead skin called the stratum corneum. Progressing from medium to deep peels, the layer of skin removed is greater with each increase in strength of the peel solution.

Lactic Brightening Peel

Arbutin and kojic acid work with the hydrating properties of lactic acid for an extreme brightening peel. A great choice for dull, uneven, hyperpigmented, blemished and/or dehydrated skin. A very gentle, yet effective chemical peel suitable for all skin types with no downtime.

Salicylic Acid Peel

Salicylic acid is lipid soluble, which makes it very effective on people with oily skin. If you have blemish-prone skin with blackheads or whiteheads, this peel can help. It also helps to reduce acne inflammation, smooth sun damaged skin, and lighten age spots. Salicylic acid’s anti-inflammatory properties make it suitable for people with sensitive skin and for those suffering with rosacea.

Glycolic Peel

Glycolic acid is a type of Alpha Hydroxy Acid or AHA with the smallest molecule size allowing it to effectively penetrate the skin. Glycolic acid peels exfoliate the top layer of skin to reveal the newly maturing skin underneath. Glycolic peels work to decrease the appearance of blemishes, sun spots, age spots, wrinkles, and fine lines.

TCA Depigmentation Peel

TCA is a non-toxic chemical (trichloracetic acid), which has been used to perform skin peels for over 20 years. Great for all skin types, but carefully formulated for creating an even skin tone and texture for darker skin types. An effective option for those suffering from sun damage, hyperpigmentation or melasma.

PCA Skin Peels

A trusted industry leader, PCA Skin has dedicated decades to perfecting the art of achieving healthy skin with PCA peels. PCA Skin peels are formulated to preserve, promote and protect healthy skin. PCA Skin has a variety of blended peels and retinoid treatments for a multitude of conditions. One will be chosen for you based on your skin type and condition.

Jessner Peel

A Jessner peel combines lactic acid, salicylic acid, and resorcinol to treat variety of problematic skin conditions including acne, acne scars, hyper-pigmentation, skin blotches, wrinkles, and fine lines. Salicylic acid has long been recognized as a great treatment for diminishing and preventing acne. Lactic acid is what gives this peel a tightening effect. Lactic acid tightens skin and helps moisturize your skin. Resorcinol further exfoliates the skin and also works as an anti-microbial agent. It helps kill off acne causing bacteria.
